Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
Last updated: April 23, 2026
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), California residents have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of their personal information. This page explains how Docs Dingo treats that right.
Our position
Docs Dingo does not sell personal information for money. We also do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We process uploaded PDFs only to provide the service you requested (e.g. conversion, merging, compression, editing), and we delete processed files from our servers within one hour of processing.
We use a limited number of service providers that help us run the product (payment processing, analytics, email delivery, cloud hosting). Those providers act on our behalf under contract and are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes. That kind of processing is not a "sale" or "share" under the CCPA/CPRA.
What personal information we collect
- Account information: email address, name, and hashed password when you sign up.
- Uploaded file contents: processed in memory and on temporary S3 storage, deleted within one hour.
- Billing information: handled entirely by Stripe; we never receive your full card number.
- Usage telemetry: daily conversion counts, error logs, and anonymous analytics to improve the product.
Your rights under CCPA/CPRA
- Right to know what personal information we have about you.
- Right to delete your personal information.
- Right to correct inaccurate information.
- Right to opt out of any sale or sharing (even though we don't sell or share).
- Right to limit the use of sensitive personal information.
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights.
How to exercise your rights
Email support@docsdingo.com from the email address associated with your account and include the following in the subject line:
- "CCPA Opt-Out" — to confirm your opt-out of any sale or sharing.
- "CCPA Access Request" — to receive a copy of your personal information.
- "CCPA Deletion Request" — to delete your account and all associated data.
We will respond within 45 days. We may need to verify your identity before acting on the request; in practice we'll ask you to reply to the email address on file.
You can also delete your account directly from the Account section after signing in, which removes your profile and any stored references to your uploads.
Authorized agents
You can authorize someone to make a request on your behalf. Send us written permission signed by you, plus verification of your identity, and we'll process the request the same way.
Global Privacy Control (GPC)
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt-out request for the browser session. Because we don't sell or share personal information in the first place, the practical effect is the same as our baseline behavior.
Questions
See our full Privacy Policy for more detail on what we collect and why. For anything else, email support@docsdingo.com.
